PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS
What stick do you play with and why did you choose it?
Currently and for the past 4 years I have played with the Ritual Velocity 95 2019 model. I chose this stick due to the ability it gives me to do 3D skills, as well as the power it possesses when hitting.
What grip is on your stick and why did you choose it?
For the longest time I had the original grip on my stick, then I switched to the Karakal Pu Super Grip from Longstreth because they had the color pink and I wanted to support Breast Cancer. I now use a chamois though because these grips do a great job at absorbing sweat and water, while allowing me to excel on the field.
How long have you been playing field hockey?
I have been playing competitively since 7th grade!
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always put my right hocsocx on, then left, then right shin guard, then left, then right sock, left sock, right shoe, then left shoe. It is so weird and I honestly have no idea why I do it, but I noticed it 2-years ago and now it is routine.
What's your go-to pre-game hairstyle?
Although this changes frequently, I love a classic bun, because then my hair is less knotty post-game.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
My go-to pre-game meal is dependent on what they feed us, but my favorite is when we have breakfast from Produce Station!
Favorite pump up songs to listen to before a game?
Imma Be by the Black Eyed Peas
Describe your playing style in 3 words
Competitive, Strong, Crafty
What do you like to do when not playing field hockey?
I love hanging out with my roommates and watching movies with them and making homemade popcorn!
What's your favorite motivational quote?
“Hard Work beats talent, when talent doesn’t work hard”
If you could give your younger field hockey self a piece of advice, what would it be?
If I could give myself any field hockey related advice it would be to not worry about the future, but instead to embrace every moment with every person I meet, while working my hardest because in the grand scheme of things everything works out and happens for a reason.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Definitely winning B1G Tens my freshman year because winning on that kind of stage for the first time is so incredibly surreal.
