Layla Dibler has joined the Longstreth Athlete Program as the newest Ritual Ambassador! Layla is from Reading, Pennsylvania and attends Exeter Township High School. She also plays club field hockey for HighStyx and is a very active member of the field hockey community competing in events like RCCs, USAFH National Indoor Tournament, Winter Escape, and more! Layla is also verbally committed to Mansfield University!

How long have you been playing field hockey?

7 years, currently I am in 11th grade

Any pre-game rituals?

I hang out with my teammates and braid their hair for games

Go-to pre-game meal?

Puff protein bars and an Alani

Go-to game day hairstyle?

Four Dutch braids into a high ponytail with inverted bubbles

What type of music do you enjoy to listen to before a game?

Any hype RnB or 2000s pop music

3 words to describe your playing style?

Explosive, powerful, quick

What do you enjoy doing when you're not playing field hockey?

I play pickleball, go shopping with friends, and play with my dog a lot

Favorite motivational quote?

“Everything happens for a reason”

Favorite field hockey moment?

When me and my friends were warming up on senior night my freshman year and I got hit in the face by my friend with the ball (I wasn’t severely injured) and I was laughing hysterically and then I couldn’t stop crying and my friends and I were laughing the entire rest of the night about it.

Advice for your younger self?

It would be to seize every opportunity you can because you don’t know where that could lead you.
