A senior standout at Episcopal Academy and club player for Mainline Mayhem, Rebecca is committed to continuing her field hockey journey at Cornell University next fall. She’s also a proud member of the U18 USWNT and Junior National Indoor Team!

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the Ritual Ultra 95 because I love the 3D skill control, as well as the power in my shots it gives me.
Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
I use a double Grays grip, usually in a fun color. I love the cushion it provides while still allowing me a good grip in different weather.
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing field hockey since I was six, and my mom played, so she encouraged me to try it as a kid.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I usually have to wear my lucky hoc sox and scrunchie
What's your go-to pre game meal?
Probably steak and some kind of cheese
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
If we have time, two mini Dutch braids that I put in my ponytail that I braid and put a scrunchie on. But in a rush, just a ponytail braided.

Describe your playing style in three words?
Multi-dimensional, explosive, distributional.
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
I like to hang out with family and friends, bake, and go to the beach.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
On game days, I think it's unlucky to watch the other teams warm up so I just try to focus on the one I’m in.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
“If you're not first, you're last,” and “Great moments are born from great opportunity.”
If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Everything happens for a reason, and every failure is a learning opportunity.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Scoring a goal on a drag flick in Spain this past April
