Fun Facts:

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?

I use the Ritual Finesse 95 stick. I like the lightweight feel, and the thinner handle of the Finesse gives me more control of the ball.

Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?

I go between the Ritual Super Soft grip and chamois grip. I like the soft feel of the Super Soft grip and how I have complete control of my stick. I like chamois in hot or rainy weather.

How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you first want to start playing?

I have been playing field hockey for nine years. I was first introduced to field hockey by my babysitter, who played for the college in our town and bought me my first stick. What made me fall in love with field hockey is the team aspect — you can’t win alone in field hockey.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I pick my HocSocx based on the event and how I need to play. I also love listening to music to get me in a hype mood!

What's your go-to pre-game meal?

My go-to pre-game meal is rice cakes with Nutella and a banana.

What is your go-to game day hairstyle?

I like a simple high pony with a braid!

Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?

I always feel ready for a game after listening to “Florida!!!” by Taylor Swift and Florence + The Machine.

Describe your playing style in three words?

Relentless, tactical, selfless

What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?

I love going down to my local park to play pickleball with friends! It’s so fun and you don’t have to be amazing at it to still have a good time.

Do you have any game day superstitions?

I’m not very superstitious but I do like to keep things consistent. If we win, I usually stick with the same routine as the last game.

What is your favorite motivational quote?

“Play hard, play smart, have fun.”  - Unknown

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?

I would start by telling my younger self to enjoy the time with your teammates. The friendships are the best part of the game. On the technical side, focus on speed training and being fast off the ball. Keep working to be the best teammate and player you can be.

What is your favorite field hockey memory?

Winning states. My high school team is really close on and off the field. Winning with my best friends was the best, and I hope we can do it again!
