Fun Facts:
What stick do you use and why?
I use a Gryphon Striker Samurai - it’s new to me as of November, and I love its low bow - it’s great for control and power. I love practicing my 3D skills with it.
Do you have a favorite grip?
Yes, I use grips from Gryphon and Wrappit. I like the Gryphon one when I need more grip, and the Wrappit ones for a fun pop of color!
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing field hockey for 6 years now. My mom played when she was younger, which inspired me to want to learn to play. I’ve loved it since the first time I picked up a stick!

I like to journal my thoughts pre-game to help me have a good mindset going into a game. I also like to listen to my game day playlist.
Go-to pre-game meal?
My go-to pregame food is usually a banana and electrolytes - I like to keep it light before playing. In between games, I love apple sauce pouches and sometimes some Skittles.

Definitely two Dutch braids into a ponytail! I love adding a bow to accessorize! When going to multi-day tournaments, I try to switch it up with all different styles!

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing field hockey?
When I’m not playing field hockey, I’m usually watching NHL games. My favorite NHL team is the Rangers, and I love going to catch a game at MSG. I also love spending time with my family and friends. From my summers at my sleep-away camp Frost Valley to spending the day in NYC with my mom to shop, see a Broadway show, and out to eat.
Any superstitions?
My superstition is that I have to wear my special ribbon in my hair. It’s a small white bow that I wear for all my games.

My favorite motivational quote is “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!” -Wayne Gretzky”

If I could give my younger self advice, I would tell her to never give up and to keep dreaming big!
Favorite moment from the most recent season?
This year, as a freshman, I made the varsity field hockey team at my HS. When the coach told me that I had made varsity, I ran to my mom’s car in the parking lot and gave her a hug. She started crying happy tears and it was an unforgettable moment that I will forever remember.
