Fun Facts:
What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the OBO Robo Fatboy Goalkeeping stick. I chose it because of the thickness of the stick. It really matches my playing style and gives good strength behind my stick saves.
What legguards, kickers, and helmet do you use ,and why did you choose them?
I use OBO Robo Plus kickers and OBO Robo Hi-Control Leg Guards because they are really comfortable, but also at the same time allow me to have a lot of control over where the ball is placed after a save. I use the OBO ABS Helmet because I find it very comfortable and it doesn’t restrict my eyesight while playing.
How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you first want to start playing goalkeeper?
I have played field hockey for 5 years, and I originally started out as a goalkeeper. When I watched these older girls playing cage I realized that the position intrigued me more than being a player.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Breathing Control routines to make sure I don’t get stressed or overthink during games. I do handstands because being upside down seems to be my second nature, and I always do the same warm up (while playing my playlist), for consistency and trust in myself.
What’s your go-to pre-game meal?
My go to meal is a Chipotle burrito bowl with double chicken, cheese, white rice, lettuce (it hits all the food groups, and makes me feel fueled before a game) and a raspberry lemon bloom, which is one of my favorite drinks.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
A slick back braid is my favorite, because it fits under my helmet perfectly and it's cute.
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay is my pump up song because it’s just very hype and makes me feel confident before a game.
Describe your playing style in three words?
Aggressive, Adaptable, Sharp
What do you like to do when you’re not playing field hockey?
Outside of field hockey, I love to dance, and for extra physical activity, running is really calming and fun. I also enjoy hanging out with friends during my free time.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I always have a raspberry lemon bloom on game days.
What’s your favorite motivational quote?
“ Before you give up, think about the reason you’ve held on for so long “ - Frank Ocean
What are you looking forward to most in the upcoming season?
Spending time and creating new memories with my team, as well as keeping up our medaling streak at tournaments.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite memory was this past Sunshine Showcase. We were playing in the qualifying match for the gold medal game, and when we tied it went to strokes. My teammate scored on her first stroke, and I saved my first stroke, so we qualified after
only one round. It made me feel the closest and most supported by my team I ever had been.
What school do you go to?
The Berkshire School
