Savanna attends the Winsor School (’27) and plays club field hockey for Wizards. Recently, she verbally announced her commitment to continue to play college field hockey at Boston University!

Here are some fun facts about Savanna:

What stick do you use?
I use the OBO Straight As! I love how light the stick is and easy to maneuver for any save. The stick is also incredibly durable.

What Legguards, Kickers, and Helmet do you use?
I use the ROBO Legguards for indoor specifically, and also have the OBO Plus Legguards and Kickers. I chose the PLUS for the shape and the ROBO for the durability.

How long have you been playing field hockey?
I have been playing for 9 years. My goalkeeper coach, Donna Chung, competed in the Olympics and was such an inspiration/role model, so she gave me the desire to play.

Any pre-game rituals?
I like to play music in the car/hotel by myself and enjoy music on the speaker with my team.

Pre-game meal?
A Dunkin lemonade and bagel or teriyaki chicken!

Go-to game day hairstyle?
A slick back bun that stays tight under my helmet and looks sleek.

Favorite warm up songs?
Any hype beat by Meg the Stallion or Katy Perry.

Describe your playing style in 3 words.
Aggressive, creative, and explosive

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing field hockey?
I enjoy hiking, biking, golfing, and gaming with friends.

Any game day superstitions?
I always arrive early to the game to leave time to mix up my sophisticated electrolyte drink that provides me energy to last all 60 minutes.

Favorite motivational quote?
“Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up” – Rocky Balboa

What’s something you look forward to at the start of a season?
Building stronger relationships with my team and being able to compete with them at the highest level.

A favorite field hockey memory?
Losing to Florida United (a predominantly Hispanic club) at U16 Nationals because I had never competed against kids who spoke a different language and played a vastly different style.
