We’re SO excited to welcome Bree Moffett to the Longstreth Athlete Program as our newest Gryphon Ambassador

Freshman year at Northwestern is calling, and Bree is coming in with quite the resume...  After an incredible 2025 season at Smyrna High School, she racked up MAX Field Hockey DE State Player of the Year, NFHCA Player of the Year, DIAA D1 Player of the Year, U18 USWNT, Longstreth Senior All-American selection - and that’s just the beginning!

Fun Facts:

What stick do you use?

I use a Gryphon stick because it feels the best for hitting and dribbling.

When did you first start playing?

I first touched my stick when I was 3 and started playing club field hockey at 9. I started playing because my mom played in college and wanted us to try it out.

How do you like to prepare before a game?

I like to jam out to music before games!

Go-to pre-game meal?

I like to get some protein in before games, whether it's a sandwich or a light meal.

Favorite gameday hairstyle?

My game day hairstyle is two braids into a ponytail.

Favorite type of music to listen to before a game?

I love any songs that are upbeat!

Describe your playing style in 3 words.

Competitive, defensive, and strategic

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing field hockey?

I love hanging out with my friends when I am not playing!

Favorite motivational quote?

My favorite motivational quote is from a movie called "Coach Carter". It is "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."

Advice you’d give your younger self.

I would tell my younger self that everything will work out.
