From Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Ariana is heading into her sophomore year at Providence College after a strong freshman season, racking up 9 points on 4 goals and 1 assist!

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I recently switched to the Gryphon Blue Steel D2 because I immediately loved the feel of it. It gives me great control while stickhandling, and I can generate a really powerful shot.
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I've been playing field hockey for about six years. My first full season was my sophomore year of high school, and after that I reclassed for an extra year to give myself more time in the recruiting process since I started the sport later than most players.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always listen to the same eight songs before every game, and I make sure my right Hocsocx is sticking out of my shin guard.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
Grilled chicken, white rice, Brussels sprouts, and zucchini.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
A simple ponytail—unless it's raining, then it's always a bun.
Favorite pump-up songs to listen to before a game?

Fast. Powerful. Intense.
What do you like to do when you're not playing field hockey?
I love staying active by playing other sports like lacrosse, pickleball, and spikeball. I also enjoy cooking, baking, and drawing whenever I have some downtime.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I always eat baby food right before I walk onto the field.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Don't compare your journey to anyone else's. I started field hockey later than most people, and there were plenty of moments when I questioned whether I could catch up. Trust the process, stay consistent, and remember that your work ethic can take you farther than you ever imagined.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Scoring the overtime game-winning goal against our biggest rivals to send my team to the NEPSAC Finals during my senior year. It was one of those moments every athlete dreams about—the excitement, celebrating with my teammates, and knowing all of the hard work we'd put in throughout the season had paid off.
