Fun Facts:
What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the Gryphon Tour Samurai because the balance of the stick gives me the perfect control. It allows me to execute with precision and finesse with every pass, shot, or skill. I get great power and elite execution from this stick.
Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip do you prefer and why?
I like the gryphon soft grip because I like to have a tight grip. I like how it is very tight and thin, but not to the extent where I can feel every vibration of the stick. It has an element of tackiness, which I love for ball control.
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing field hockey since I was seven. I started because it was huge in my area, and my mom knew I could handle playing with a mouth guard, which was hard for most little kids, so she kept me in it. I quickly fell in love because it came naturally to me!
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always go to Starbucks before a game and take a walk.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
I always have a coffee and either banana and peanut butter toast or avocado toast with an egg.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
I usually switch it up, but my go-to is a high pony with one bubble braid on my ponytail and pre-wrap.
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
My favorite pump-up song before a game is any song from the Rocky soundtrack!
Describe your playing style in three words?
Poised, Possession, Skilled
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
When I am not playing, I love to hang out with my family and friends, go on walks or runs, shop, watch movies, and go out to eat!
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I always have to have my lucky HocSocx.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
“Work hard in silence, let success be your noise”
If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self not to wish a second of my field hockey journey away. I would tell her to find the fun in a hard practice, embrace all the nerves before big games, and appreciate not only the wins but also the lessons my losses gave me.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite field hockey memory is winning the Pennsylvania state championship my senior year of high school. It was the perfect end to my four years of high school field hockey, and it was with one of my favorite teams I have ever been a part of.
