We are thrilled to welcome Jessica Traynor into the Longstreth Athlete Program as our newest Gryphon Ambassador!

From Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, Jessica is a junior captain and midfielder at Kutztown University who earned First Team All-PSAC, First Team All-Atlantic Region, and NFHCA All-American honors during the 2025 season. Her two other sisters, Jade and Julia, also attend KU and are Longstreth/Gryphon Ambassadors!

Fun Facts:

Which stick do you use, and why did you choose it?
Gryphon Pro Tour 25, I like how light it is and the power it gives me on shots and with the low bow I am able to perform many different skills.

Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
Pink Gryphon Soft Grip. I love the touch of fun it gives my stick, and it allows me to have good control of my stick in all weather.

How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing for 14 years. It was a sport my mom signed me up for because she played, and after that, I stuck with it.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Dancing in the locker room with my teammates

What's your go-to pre-game meal?
A peanut butter and fluff sandwich

What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
A braid going across the front of my head into a ponytail.

Describe your playing style in three words?
Simple, fast, deceptive

What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
Go shopping or bake

Do you have any game day superstitions?
Just wearing my hair the same every game.

What is your favorite motivational quote?
Give it to God

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Keep working hard when no one is watching.

What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Winning the D2 National Championship my freshman year.
