Longstreth Field Notes is a national storytelling program created to showcase the athletes, coaches, teams, traditions and moments shaping field hockey across the country. Field hockey is filled with stories worth telling, and Longstreth wants to help tell them! Whether it's an unforgettable game, an inspiring teammate, a coach making a difference or a tradition that defines your program, we want to hear what's happening in your field hockey community.
Who Can Contribute?
LSG Field Notes is open to the entire field hockey community, including athletes, students, coaches, teams, schools, clubs, and other programs. We're looking for authentic voices, interesting perspectives, and great field hockey stories.
What Can You Write About?
- A memorable game, tournament or season
- An athlete, teammate or coach who deserves recognition
- A team tradition or behind-the-scenes story
- A rivalry, championship run or milestone
- A new or growing field hockey program
- Someone making a difference or helping grow the game
- Have another idea? Write about it!
Get Published By Longstreth
All submissions will be reviewed by the Longstreth team, and selected stories may be published through Longstreth's digital platforms. Published contributors will receive an official Longstreth Field Notes byline recognizing the author and their connection to the field hockey community.
For student contributors, published work can also become part of a writing portfolio and provide real-world experience in writing, communications, and sports media.
