We are thrilled to announce that Hannah Huddleson has joined the Longstreth Athlete Program as a TK Brand Ambassador!
Hannah will be a freshman at Rider University this fall and has been playing field hockey for 12 years! She recently graduated from Daniel Boone SD where she was a student athlete while also playing club field hockey for Vipers. Hannah is a Special Olympics United States Youth Ambassador and in her free time loves to advocate the importance of inclusion across the country.
Fun Field Hockey Facts
What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the TK 1.1 control bow. This stick helps me with my aerials and gives me solid control with my hits.
Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
I use the Karakal grip in yellow. I love the thickness of the grip and yellow is my favorite color!
How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing field hockey for 12 years! I started playing because I always went to my sister’s games when I was younger.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always put my left sock and shoe on first before my right.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
PB & J sandwich
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
Since sixth grade I have always don’t a ponytail with a braid going down. I also have worn the same yellow headband for EVERY game. This year I’m changing it up!

Composed, aggressive, selfless
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
I LOVE advocating for inclusion. I am a Special Olympics United States Youth Ambassador. I travel across the country to spread the words of inclusion.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I have to wear a headband for EVERY game!

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Just to keep being you! Everything happens for a reason, so enjoy the journey!
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
At NITs with my club team, we were tied with no time left during a corner. Being able to capitalize on this corner and celebrate with my team was an amazing feeling!
