In their fourth straight finals appearance, Pocomoke High School was on the right side of a 3-1 score line in their match against Patuxent to become the Maryland 1A State Champions.
Earlier in the playoffs, they beat St. Michaels 6-0, Washington A 2-0, and Fallston 4-1. Though they were down early in the game, Pocomoke had the second half needed to bring the trophy back home with three late goals.
They’ve now earned a 22nd State Championship.
