Many State Championships took place over the weekend of November 1st – November 3rd. One extremely notable matchup was between New Trier High School and Lake Forest Academy in Illinois.
New Trier clinched the Illinois High School Field Hockey Association State Championship in a 3-1 victory held at Lake Forest. They reached the final game with a 2-0 win over Latin School of Chicago in the semifinals.
New Trier ended their spectacular season 23-1-1 and 7-0 in conference play. Their toughest opponent all season long, outside of tournaments, was LFA, making the State Championship a game to remember.
