We are thrilled to welcome Scarlett Wood into the Longstreth Athlete Program as our newest TK Ambassador!
Scarlett has been playing field hockey since she was 7 years old and currently competes for Downingtown West and Main Line Mayhem FHC. In her 2025 senior season, she earned an impressive list of honors, including Max Field Hockey All-Region First Team, First Team AAA All-State Defense, First Team All-League Defense, and NFHCA All-Region Second Team.
Fun Facts:
What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the TK U1+ Extreme late bow, and I love the light feel to send nice big aerials down the field. I love the ball control it gives me to make decisions out of the backfield or midfield.
Do you have a grip preference?
If so, which grip and why do you like it?
I love the TK Chamois grip; it gives me extra cushion and dries my hands when it's hot out.
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I've been playing since I was 7, and my mom made me play. I played rec league with her as the coach and ever since then, it just stuck!
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I have to wear my lucky HocSocx and yellow headband and eat a peanut butter cup before each game.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
I love a pasta meal the night before a big game
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
Braided ponytail
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
Rhythm of the Night By Corona.

Patient, Methodical, Efficient
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
I love to be outside, and if I am not outside, napping.

I have to have a blue Gatorade

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self that good things take time. It may seem like a lot of work now, but it is worth it in the end.

Scoring the OT game winner against Emmaus this last season!
