Sarah has been a goalkeeper since 8th grade and is now a sophomore at Bucknell University. In her freshman season, Sarah tied for second in the Patriot League in shutouts and third in the Patriot League save percentage. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish the rest of the 2024 season, Sarah!
Get To Know The Goalies
What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I am choosing to play with the OBO ROBO Straight As stick because of the power of the rebounds while being a lightweight stick.
What leg guards, kickers and helmet do you use and why?
For my leg guards and kickers I chose to use the OBO ROBO Plus kickers and leg guards for the surface area, and great direction control. I also use the OBO FG Helmet for its safety ratings.
How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you want to first start trying out the goalkeeper position?
I first started playing Field Hockey in 4th grade and started playing goalie in 8th grade. While playing youth Field Hockey, I had the habit of dropping back and playing in front of the cage so as soon as the opportunity was given to me, I knew I had to try it.
Any game day rituals?
I don't really have any pre game rituals other than listening to music.
Go-to pre-game meal?
My go-to pregame meal is always something light, usually eggs for breakfast and a granola bar right before my game.
Go-to game day hairstyle?
My go-to game day hairstyle is either a low ponytail or braid.
Favorite pump-up songs?
My all-time favorite pump-up song is Juke Box Hero by Foreigner
Describe your playing style in 3 words?
My playing style can be described as aggressive, decisive, competitive, and balanced.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not playing field hockey?
When I'm not playing Field Hockey I enjoy skiing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

What are you looking forward to most this season?
I'm looking forward to more time spent with my team and continuing to improve myself both on and off the field.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite Field Hockey memory would have to be playing in my first ever collegiate Field Hockey game.
What school do you attend?
I attend Bucknell University.
