Fun Facts:

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I play with the Grays GR10000 Jumbow. I had heard great things about it from forwards playing at high levels, and that made me want to try it out. Once I got it, I loved the lightweight feel of the stick as well as how powerful and accurate my shots on the cage were. Also, I feel it aids in precision and control while dribbling.

Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
I like the grip that comes on the Grays.  It's sticky with just the right amount of cushion.

How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
I have been playing field hockey for 6 years, and what made me want to play was the team dynamic. I had been a gymnast while my older sister played field hockey, and I admired how the field hockey teams played with each other and for each other because it makes winning all the more worthwhile.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always wear a Treadband while I play. And if I have a really good game, I'll keep wearing the same HocSocx.

What's your go-to pre-game meal?
I like to eat an omelet for my game day breakfast.

What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
I usually wear a ponytail with a Treadband that matches my uniform.

Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
I love the song “Imma Be” by the Black Eyed Peas!

Describe your playing style in three words?
Explosive, creative, agile

What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
I like to go on long walks, bake desserts from scratch, and play pickleball with my friends/family.

Do you have any game day superstitions?
I must wear a Treadband… I dressed that way in my first game ever,  scored a goal, and it’s been my thing ever since.

What is your favorite motivational quote?
"There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits."  Michael Phelps

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Compete hard, find joy in the chaos, and enjoy the journey, it goes by so fast!

What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Favorite sports memories are always buzzer beater goals!! My favorite is the one I scored with my sister as a freshman in the regional championship. Cleared from having a broken nose, I returned for that game, and on the field, it was a really fun celebration with the whole team, especially with my sister, who gave me the assist. And on top of that, it was in the newspaper, and my science teacher had it on the board the next day when I walked into class.
