Fun Facts:
What stick do you use, and why do you choose it?
I use the Gryphon Taboo Striker. I was introduced to the Gryphon Taboo Stick by my club coach at the beginning of my high school career, and I have loved it ever since. I love the touch that it has, and I really enjoy the lift I get on the cage when shooting with it.
Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
My favorite grip would have to be the Gryphon Grip. I have had it in almost every color, but I just love the way it feels.
How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing?
It all started about 10 years ago, while growing up, I played so many different sports. I saw my cousin playing a sport I had never heard of called “field hockey”. I decided to give it a try, and I have never looked back. I developed a passion for field hockey as the fast-paced action is such an adrenaline rush, and I love to analyze strategic gameplay, both offensive and defensive.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I go up to my teammates for a pregame handshake for good luck.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
I don’t really have a set meal that I eat, but I always have to have an energy drink.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
I usually do a ponytail with another hair tie at the end.
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
I have a Pre-game playlist that I listen to, but 3 songs that I have to hear are Power by Kanye West and Yo Voy by Daddy Yankee, and I end my playlist with any Tems song so I can get into the right headspace before I take the field.
Describe your playing style in three words?
I would say fast, aggressive, and gritty.
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
I enjoy playing pickleball with family or friends and like to read self-help books.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I have certain Hocsocx that I wear just for game days and others that I wear just for practices.
What is your favorite motivational quote?
“Nobody cares. Work Harder”
If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
I would say, forget trying to impress people. Stay focused, outwork everyone, and let the results speak louder than your words.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite field hockey memory was winning Silver in the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Barbados with the International Women's Field Hockey Team of Puerto Rico.
