We are excited to welcome Eleanor Coulter into the Longstreth Athlete Program as the newest member of the OBO Community! Eleanor is from Houston, Texas, and attends the Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart and is a member of the Duchesne Varsity Field Hockey Team. She is also a member of the Albion Field Hockey Club, where she earned the All-Zone SPC Coach Recognition Award (2025).

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the OBO Robo Straight AS stick, which I chose because of how lightweight it is while also providing a strong sweep for stick saves and clears.
What leg guards, kickers, and helmet do you use, and why did you choose them?
I use the OBO Robo leg guards and kickers, which I chose because of their great strength for saves and clears while providing protection from hard shots on the cage. I wear the OBO ABS helmet for its great quality and protection.
How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you first want to start playing goalkeeper?
I have been playing field hockey for about 7 years and decided to become a goalkeeper because one day at practice when I was little, someone asked if anyone wanted to try the position. No one volunteered, so I raised my hand - and I fell in love with it!
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
Before games, I like to stretch out before getting in gear for warm-up to make sure I stay limber and agile. Sometimes before practice or games, I like to warm up in my socks!
What’s your go-to pre-game meal?
My favorite thing to eat before a game is a turkey and cheese sandwich.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
For games, I like to wear my hair in Dutch braids.
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
My favorite pre-game hype songs are California Girls by Katy Perry, Baby by Justin Bieber, and songs by the Black-Eyed Peas like Rock that Body, Pump It, and I Got a Feeling.
Describe your playing style in three words?
Three words to describe my playing style would be aggressive, agile, and focused.
What do you like to do when you’re not playing field hockey?
When I am not playing field hockey, I like to participate in my other sports (swimming/lacrosse) or spend time doing some of my hobbies, like dancing or pickleball.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
One game day superstition that I have is wearing crazy mismatched socks to every game and wearing my Birkenstock Clogs before and after each game.

What are you looking forward to most in the upcoming season?
I am looking forward to hopefully taking on more responsibility to help lead the team with my knowledge, passion, and excitement for the game.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite field hockey memory was when I made a game-winning stroke save in overtime, and my whole team went wild cheering and jumping around in excitement.
