Fun Facts:

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I chose the OBO Straight-As because I like to use a balanced stick that gives me control.. It feels solid and reliable in every situation.

What legguards, kickers, and helmet do you use, and why did you choose them?
I use the OBO Robo Hi-Rebound Legguards, OBO Robo+ Kickers, and the OBO FG Helmet. The Robo Hi-Rebound Legguards give me a large save surface and a lot of power behind the ball. I really like the Robo+ Kickers because of the power they give when doing clears or lunges, and the extra save surface on the toe. I chose the OBO FG Helmet because it is lightweight and allows for good vision on the ball while also protecting my head!

How long have you been playing field hockey, and what made you first want to start playing goalkeeper?
I have been playing field hockey for 7 years, and I have played goalie for 6. I started playing field hockey in 4th grade with my friends at school, and at the same time, my older sister Alex was playing goalie for the middle school. I thought that it looked fun, so in 5th grade, I decided to copy her and try it out. Ever since then, I have played goalie!

Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I don't have any specific pre-game rituals, but I like to listen to a lot of music, do a long warm-up, make sure my hair is in place, my shoes are tied tight, and my gear is tight before I start the game, so that nothing happens on the field.

What’s your go-to pre-game meal?
I don't have a pre-game meal that I eat every time, but I try to eat a good meal with carbs, and a good breakfast/lunch the day of the game. I also sometimes eat a small snack before the game, which is usually a granola bar, fruit snacks, or fruit.

What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
I'm not very good at doing hair, so I normally just go with a low bun. Sometimes, when I have time, I will do a low ponytail braid. I try to slick it back sometimes, but since my hair is curly and because of my helmet, my hair ends up crazy after a game.

Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
I like almost any Drake song, but before a game, I try to listen to higher BPM songs. I listen to a lot of Lil Wayne/Drake songs, Travis Scott, some Kanye, and Nicki Minaj. Some other songs I like are Unforgettable by French Montana, Don't Tell 'Em by Jeremih, and Hot In Here by Nelly.

Describe your playing style in three words?
I would describe my playing style as focused, controlled, and composed. I describe my playing style as this because I stay focused throughout my time on the field, control my motions and direct the field, and stay composed in tough situations.

What do you like to do when you’re not playing field hockey?
When I am not playing field hockey, I like to hang out with my friends, sit in my backyard, go shopping, or hang out with my mom and sister. During the season, my mom and I will visit my sister and watch her play when we can, and I enjoy watching other games in college field hockey. I also like to spend time with my cats and dog, bake, and go driving!

Do you have any game day superstitions?
I wouldn't say that I have superstitions, but I do like things to be a certain way. First, I will pick out a certain pair of Hocsocx. My favorite pair is my pigs because those are my favorite animals, so I try to have them with me. Next, I make sure I have my two specific hair ties and make sure that my hair is tied back tightly so that it doesn't bother me while I play. When I do my warm-up, the number of balls I do in a round has to be an even number.

What’s your favorite motivational quote?
"Shoutout to my haters, sorry that you couldn't faze me" -Nicki Minaj; This is my favorite motivational quote because it reminds me to not be affected by what people might say to try to bring me down and instead use it as motivation to be better.

What are you looking forward to most in the upcoming season?
My season is close to being over, but I am very excited for the PAISAA finals!

What is your favorite field hockey memory?
Some of my favorite memories from field hockey are from the Nexus Championship and Junior National Camp because I get to see a lot of my friends that I don't get to see often! I also have a lot of good memories from indoor club practices and tournaments with my friends.
