In a 3-1 win in late October, the Pioneer High School field hockey team earned a Michigan State Championship with a victory over Saline High School.
Pioneer began their playoff run with two 8-0 wins over Plymouth-Canton and Highland High School, respectively. In their semifinal matchup against Huron High School, they won 4-0 and clinched a berth in the Michigan DI final.
The championship game certainly featured the two best teams in Michigan’s Division I. Ultimately, Pioneer came out on top, showcasing their incredible ability to connect as a team and as one of the premier high schools for field hockey in Michigan.
