The 2025 MAX Field Hockey/Longstreth High School National Invitational is officially in the books, and what a weekend it was. The event brought together 19 of the nation’s Top 25 teams for three days of high-level competition, marquee matchups, and standout performances.
National powers Academy of Notre Dame de Namur (#1, Villanova, PA) and Villa Maria Academy (#2, Malvern, PA) demonstrated why they occupy the top of the rankings. The two combined for 22 goals scored and just 4 allowed across four games, three of those opponents ranked inside the national Top 10. Their much-anticipated meeting came the following week, with Notre Dame earning a 4-2 victory to solidify its hold on the No. 1 spot.
Oak Knoll School (#5, Summit, NJ) also turned heads with wins over two Top 10 programs at the Invitational: Warwick (PA) and The Kinkaid School (TX). They followed that up with victories against The Hill School (PA) and Camden Catholic (NJ), continuing their rise.
From the West/Mid-West, New Trier High School (Winnetka, IL) impressed with three victories, including a 3-2 win over The Hill School. That effort lifted the Trevians to #6 in the national poll.
Congratulations to all the athletes named to the All-Tournament Teams for their outstanding play throughout an unforgettable weekend of hockey.
