A freshman from The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, California, Lola Conway is Longstreth’s High School Player of the Week. She and her team just finished the 2024 season by winning the San Diego Section Open Division Championship, the most elite division for high school field hockey in California. In her first season, Lola recorded 40 goals and 22 assists, including two of the most important goals of the season, which came in the championship game for the 2-0 win over La Jolla. That is 102 total points for the freshman! The Bishop’s Knights were 25-1 this year and 10-0 in the league, outscoring opponents 85-7, led by the superstar freshman.

Earlier this year, Lola was recognized by the NFHCA as the August High School Player of the Month and October Union Tribune Athlete of the Month. At the conclusion of her season, the primary midfielder was named the Western League Player of the Year as well as First Team All-Western League. Lola has been involved with USA Field Hockey’s Nexus program for the past few years before high school. She has plans to continue her development as a member of the HTC Field Hockey club as a means to improve in all aspects of her game after an incredible inaugural season.
