Our first episode of The Longstreth Sports Post Game Show with Leah Secondo kicked off with a BANG Saturday afternoon on July 27th, following Team USA's first Olympic match. USA ultimately fell short to No. 2 Argentina, with the final score being 1-4. Nerves were high as USA faced off against this familiar opponent, but the women put in a strong effort.
30 minutes following the broadcast of the match, the host of the Post Game Show, Leah Secondo, sat down with 3 special guests to briefly discuss the match. First up, we had Ali Johnstone, Head Coach of the Ohio University Field Hockey Team, where she was a former All-American. Next, we had the Head Coach of VCU, Coach Bean, who is starting off her eighth season at VCU and holds the highest winning percentage by any coach in program history. Our third guest was Scott Tupper, Associate Head Coach of the University of Maryland; Scott is a 3x Olympian for the Canadian squad. We want to thank all 3 of these coaches for their insights into the game and for taking time out of their day to chat with Leah.
