The Longstreth team traveled across the pond this week to spend some time with Grays Hockey and get a first glance at the new 2025 range of field hockey products. Grays Hockey is the world’s oldest Hockey brand and has been trusted by the hockey family for more than 150 years. Owned by Grays of Cambridge, it is a family run business to this day. The 2025 range consists of some Grays classics as well as some new and exciting products. First used by Grays in the 1970s, the orange flash has remained on Grays sticks ever since and become an iconic symbol of the Grays brand in hockey.

We flew into to Heathrow and had about an hour long car ride to a small village called East Grinstead where we spent two days with Grays and other international distributors. The East Grinstead Hockey Club hosted our group for a full product line showing and demonstration on their hockey pitch. East Grinstead Hockey Club was founded in 1897 and won its first National Titles in the 1980s as the Men won the overall National Title. Since then, the Men have won the top tier title a further three times and the woman once, in 2023.

During our outdoor sessions Olympian, Grays ambassador, and Grays Head of Women’s Sport, Sarah Robertson, spoke about her time in Paris and taught us the art of the tomahawk. GB players Lily Walker and Alexandra Malzer gave us a lesson on aerial skills using the Grays Probow field hockey sticks while GB player Grace Balsdon and Wales player Fred Newbold focused on power with the Grays AC field hockey sticks. Back inside we had an overview of bags, footwear and apparel to wrap up the day followed by a pint at the East Grinstead Club House.

We enjoyed our time abroad and learned a lot from other Grays brand agents. We’re looking forward to showcasing the new products next year in our retail store and on our website. Visit our Grays Hockey brand page for more information on Grays products and Grays USA ambassadors.
