Welcome to one of the newest online resources for all things field hockey! My name is Saylor Milone, and I am excited to introduce myself as a member of the Longstreth team for this year and beyond. I am from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and I have been involved in the sport of field hockey for over a decade now, since beginning to play in second grade up to being named the 2023 National High School Player of the Year and All-American by MAX Field Hockey last season. I have also played for the U.S. Junior National Field Hockey Teams (U16 & U18) for the past three years. I graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur and concluded my final spring club season with WC Eagles in June 2024 and am beginning my work at Longstreth as I remain home for a medical gap year after undergoing knee surgery in July.
Throughout this year through my work with Longstreth, I will be involved in content creation for the 2024 high school season alongside issuing a weekly post related to various topics in field hockey and sports, generally. My intention is to use this platform to share my own experiences and perspectives with field hockey related to subjects such as injury rehabilitation, training ideas, mental performance, and game principles. I have taken a particular interest in understanding ways to improve my performance and grow as an athlete for the past few years, so I am grateful to have this opportunity to share my knowledge with other field hockey players and fans of varying levels of experience.
Longstreth is a company that has established itself as one of the premier field hockey brands in the United States, and as the business continues to grow and develop nationwide recognition, I am thrilled to be a part of the mission to make field hockey information easily accessible and useful to all. Stay tuned to Longstreth Field Hockey for a weekly newsletter post from me for anything sports and field hockey!
