Topping Charlottle Catholic High School in the State Championship on November 2, Cardinal Gibbons High School defended their 2023 title with another in 2024.
The final score of the game was 3-1. The Cardinal Gibbons field hockey team boasted an impressive 16-3 record this season and a perfect 11-0 in conference play.
They began their playoff run with a 10-0 victory over Carrboro followed by a rout of East Chapel Hill. The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders then beat Myers Park to advance to the Championship, finishing their season in the best way possible.
