This week’s High School Highlight Reel includes clips of several one-time shots and deflections for goals as well as some impressive stickwork and goalie saves. Find our favorite plays from this week here!
- The fifth best play of the week goes to goalkeeper Gianna Nowicki. She is a freshman at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. She makes a save with her stick on a ball redirected towards the top of the net from ideal goal-scoring range.
- Meghan Walker has also earned a spot on Longstreth’s Highlight Reel. Meghan tips the ball into the top of the cage thanks to an assist from Brinkley Eyre on a corner. The goal came against Walkersville in the Region Finals for Glenelg High School in Glenelg, Maryland.
- Kaia Pence from Spring-Ford High School in Royersford, Pennsylvania earns top play #3 with an amazing one-time tip into the goal, past the Conestoga High School goalie in the District 1 playoffs. Kaia’s 11th goal of her freshman season was assisted by Marissa Cagliola.
- Karlie Mertz is the featured athlete in the #2 play in Longstreth’s 9th High School Highlight Reel. She is a senior at Kingsway Regional High School in Woolwich Township, New Jersey. Karlie showcases her incredible skills in the circle and finishing ability in this clip.
- A sophomore from Warwick High School in Lititz, Pennsylvania rounds out the reel with the #1 play! That athlete is Kenzie Ellis. Check out incredible stick work and 3D skills from her teammate that ultimately leads to her deflection from the back post.
