This game brought two undefeated Massachusetts teams together; Phillips Academy Andover, ranked #24 in the nation and #1 in New England, and Middlesex School, ranked #7 in New England. Andover came away with the 2-0 win.
We were able to connect with Kate Dolan, Head Coach of Andover, to hear some details of the match. Dolan stated that “the game was scoreless into the fourth quarter as the teams battled back and forth” – making for a likely exciting final 15 minutes!
About five minutes into the fourth quarter, senior Molly Driscoll (Boston University commit) scored the game’s first goal, assisted by Molly Boyle. Later in the quarter, Peyton Kennedy scored the second goal. Coach Dolan credited Senior Ellie Parker (Brown commit) with a great game in goal for Andover, earning a shutout in the match. Best of luck to both teams as we progress toward playoff season!

Archbishop Spalding, ranked #2 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, takes on Mid-Atlantic’s #5 team, Garrison Forest, on October 22nd. This is a historically intense game between two rival teams.
In November of 2023, the Garrison Forest School Field Hockey team beat Archbishop Spalding to win the 2023 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) A Conference Championship. That championship win marked the second consecutive championship title, and the third in four years for the Garrison Forest Grizzlies!
Earlier this season, Archbishop Spalding field hockey coach Leslee Brady celebrated her 350th career win when the Cavs beat St. John’s College High School, 4-0, on September 23.
