The Delaware Division 2 State Tournament included 12 teams. Entering the postseason, Delmar High School was the #2 seed, and after the #1 seed was upset by #8 Lake Forest, Delmar went on to capture the title and continue their championship streak.
Delmar beat St. Mark’s 6-1 in their first-round game and then narrowly beat Sussex Academy in overtime 3-2 to reach the finals. In the championship game at Delaware State University, they beat Wilmington Friends 4-3, demonstrating their continued dominance in Delaware high school field hockey.
